The reflective material used on the Safe-T-Sash® is the best in the world. Period.

3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material is used with our products. It incorporates 3MTM Scotchlite TM Reflective Material. It can get technical, but think of it as tiny mirrors. When light is projected onto the mirrors, it is reflected back to the light source.

There are other materials available, at a lower cost, that provide some reflection. It is not enough. Saving some money is often a good idea, but not when it comes to your safety and that of the people who count in your life.

How visible are you?

Motorists must detect, make a decision...then react. The difference between dark clothing and the RIGHT reflective material could give then an additional 11 seconds of time.

Will wearing white clothing be enough? No!

Driving at 60 m.p.h., a drivers needs 260 feet to stop. When can they see you?

	White clothing - 180 feet
	Yellow clothing - 120 feet
	Red clothing - 80 feet
	Blue clothing - 55 feet
	Reflective clothing or material - 500 feet!

Statistics:

None of us care about statistics if an accident has not happened to a friend or a family member. However, facts and figures may be important, for us to understand the magnitude of motor vehicle and accidents with pedestrians.

	First recorded traffic fatality was Henry Bliss in 1899. Since then, 30 million people killed in traffic accidents of all types.
	Americans lose more people relative to population than any other industrial country.
